Tofu steaks with onions and veggies

“Tofu steak” is the thing that I like the most, especially with sauteed onions. For me, the best “tofu steak” is made with smoked tofu! Still have not tried? You have no idea what you’re missing 😛 This dish is great for those cold nights 🙂 Let’s go?

You will need (serves 3/4 people):

  • 250 grams of smoked tofu (or the normal version);
  • Rice noodles;
  • Soy sauce (optional, it has gluten);
  • Broccoli;
  • Mushrooms;
  • 2 large onions;
  • Olive oil;
  • Salt;
  • Oregano;
  • Garlic powder;
  • Paprika.
The smoked tofu that I usually use is from ALDI.

Let’s start!

Preheat the oven to 220 ° C.

Begin by chopping the mushrooms and broccoli, wash them well and place them on a tray with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika and salt. Mix well.

Place the pan in the oven for about 20/30 minutes, until the vegetables are toasted.

Cut tofu into slices. If it is tofu smoked it doesn’t need to be seasoned. If it is normal tofu, prepare a glass with lemon juice and paprika to marinate the tofu slices (15 minutes).

Cut the onion coarsely and sauté in a wok until golden. When the onion is ready, remove and store it. Now put the tofu slices in the wok and sauté until they are toasted.

Once the vegetables and tofu steaks are almost ready, cook the rice noodles. Just boil water and put the noodles for about 3-5 minutes.

Everything is ready! If you like, add oregano and soy sauce in the rice noodles.

I hope you enjoyed it, kiss, Sara 🙂
