Cocoa and chia mousse

Any party or a special lunch/dinner asks for a dessert! This and the apple delight is what we usually do whenever there is a family gathering here at home.

It’s great, tastes like chocolate, it’s sweet (depending on how much sweetener you use) and it’s guilt-free ?

Again, even non-vegetarians liked, approved and repeated! Curious? Keed reading.

You will need:

  • 1 + 1/2 cup of vegetable milk;
  • 4 tablespoons of chia seeds;
  • salt;
  • 3 tablespoons of cocoa powder;
  • 4 tablespoons of agave or maple syrup.

Let’s start!

Put the chia seeds and the vegetable milk in a bowl and let it hydrate for 20 minutes, stirring the mixture sometimes.

Then, put the mixture in the blender and add a pinch of salt, the cocoa powder and the sweetener. Shred well until creamy and homogenous.

Place the mixture in the desired container and place in the refrigerator for 2 hours.

When serving, you can decorate with coconut shavings (as in the picture), chocolate shavings or fruit.
