Avocado sauce for pasta

I finally tried avocado. Yeah, everybody talks about it , everybody eats it, but I still had not got the guts. That texture was strange and I did not feel like tasting! 😛 But thanks to a promotion, we bought 2 avocados. What about now? What do I do with them, considering I may not like it? I decided to make a sauce to put in the spaghetti and it was sooo good! Here it goes! 🙂

You will need (serves 3):

  • 1 avocado;
  • juice of 1/2 of a lemon;
  • 1 tablespoon of olive oil;
  • 1 tablespoon of water;
  • salt;
  • pepper;
  • oregano;
  • nuts;
  • 1/2 of a onion;
  • 3 garlic cloves;
  • basil leaves;
  • herbs;
  • corn or rice spaghetti.

Let’s start!

Put the spaghetti to cook. While this is not ready, prepare your avocado sauce.

Put the cloves of garlic, 1/2 onion in pieces, olive oil, water and nuts in the recipient of the mixer. Cut the avocado in half, remove the core and the inside of the peel. Put it in the recipient. Use the mixer until it is creamy and homogenous. Now put the basil leaves, salt, pepper, oregano and 1/2 lemon juice. Re-use the magic wand. Make sure it is well seasoned.

Once the spaghetti is cooked, place it in a bowl and add the avocado sauce, spreading it through the dough. Before serving, place basil leaves and some herbs.

It’s ready! Bon appetite!
