Apple pie

Some may not have noticed but I’ve shared a recipe of an apple pie filling on this blog: apple delight . I finally managed to find something to do as a crust, that is, to turn the apple delight into an apple pie! Gluten-free and no sugars added, of course 🙂 Keep reading to see the recipe.

You will need (26 cm of diameter):

For the crust:

  • 2 cups of gluten-free oat flour;
  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt;
  • 3/4 cup of cold water;
  • coconut oil.

For the filling:

  • 6 Reinettes apples (large);
  • zest of 2 lemons;
  • juice of 1 lemon;
  • cream of rice (alternative to cream) – 250 ml;
  • cinnamon, agave and sultanas;
  • 2 tablespoon of ground golden linseed.

Let’s start!

Preheat your oven to 200 degrees.

In a bowl, place the oat flour and salt and mix. Gradually add the water and mix well until you have a homogenous dough. Spread the coconut oil in the pie plate to prevent pie from sticking.

With your hands begin by spreading the dough on the walls of the pie plate, evenly. Now spread the dough into the base and in the end join the walls to the base of the pie plate.

Cut the apples into slices and scrape two lemons. Use the juice of a lemon. Mix well the apple slices with the other ingredients. Add cinnamon, agave and linseed as you like.

Put the mixture in the pie plate and sprinkle with cinnamon before putting your dessert in the oven.

Let it cook for about 45 minutes. Once it is ready let it cool so that the liquid still present, solidify.

It’s done!
